On the edge of the mighty Roman Empire stood the city of Aquincum, first established as a military base and then growing into a full city.
Located in modern day Hungary, it is within the outskirts of Budapest and can easily be reached using public transport. What awaits you is the foundations of the city streets and buildings, together with two ruinous amphitheatres.
In this video, we're stepping back over 1,700 years to see this frontier settlement!
