Your "incognito" browsing isn't as incognito as you think!
A California-based lawsuit is alleging the feature is misleading because Google itself can still see user data!
The suit offered up leaked emails between Google employees MOCKING incognito mode, comparing it to Homer Simpson in a mustache and top hat.
One engineer specifically said the company needed to stop calling it "incognito".
And Google's marketing chief said that because the feature wasn't truly private, they had to use, quote, "really fuzzy, hedging language that is almost more damaging" when they described it.
If Google is found liable in the lawsuit, they could have to pay MILLIONS of consumers up to a thousand dollars per violation!
