Sailing on the Pilot Cutter Tallulah - Falmouth Classics June 2024
'Tallulah' is a 44ft Pilot Cutter sailing boat based in St Mawes, Cornwall. This beautiful wooden boat accommodates eight crew including skipper Debbie and mate Anthony. This experience was based around the Falmouth Classics event which took place over the weekend 14th - 16th June 2024. It is one of the largest Classic sailing events in the UK and Falmouth has some of the best sailing waters in the world in the Carrick Roads and Falmouth Bay.
The Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival took place at the same time and over 65,000 visitors flocked to Falmouth. It was a fantastic atmosphere and the winds made for very exciting sailing! We also had two Folk musicians aboard - Alan and Penny - who provided a wonderful musical backdrop. Thanks to Classic Sailing for organising such a memorable time and teaching the rest of us the ropes!
