MrBeast versus MrBeast Burger sounds like it should be an eating contest… but it’s actually a battle that’s heading to court! The YouTube sensation is suing his food delivery service partner, Virtual Dining Concepts, saying its lack of quality control had customers receiving “inedible” food. It accuses them of harming his reputation by selling undercooked burgers and cold fries with his name. Under Virtuals business model, they would partner with existing restaurants to prepare the meals… but the suit claims they were too focused on rapid expansion and not on food quality. Of course, when I find a really good burger, rapid expansion is always a risk!
And a nearly-eighty-square-mile section of Los Angeles County is under quarantine after the discovery of an invasive fruit fly! The Tau fruit fly hails from Asia, where it is known as “a serious pest for agriculture and natural resources”… but this is believed to be the first time it’s ever led to a quarantine in the Western Hemisphere! Thankfully, the quarantine is just for produce, and the fruit and vegetables covered can still be consumed within that area!
