Beginner programming using Makeblock's mBot2 robot, also called mBot Neo. In this lesson we use the "play note" block and read sheet music to program Neo to play a couple songs and do simple movements. This is a fun, simple project for kids of any age.

This series of free kids coding lessons and project ideas teaches basic computer programming concepts, computational thinking, and robot sensor usage. MBot coding uses blocks to build the code. Blocks are good for beginners of any age, as they allow all the concepts to be learned much more quickly than traditional text based coding.
The code is developed in mBlock, which can be run from a browser or downloaded and installed from https://www.mblock.cc/en/
mBlock uses Scratch 3.0. More about Scratch can be seen here: https://scratch.mit.edu/
