I am uploading this video exactly 4 years from the date I announced that I was building a log cabin. There has been so many ups and downs with this build but I'm glad I kept my vision and stuck with fulfilling my dream. I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has joined me along the way. You guys truly motivated me to just get there, to just keep going. And I really owe you guys.
THIS WILL NOT BE MY LAST LOG CABIN ! I am already planning a second log cabin but this one will be more remote and I will build it straight from logs. I will use a scribe to notch my logs and fit them together. I am hoping to start collecting logs for the next log cabin as soon as November. Stay tuned !
I have been working on this log cabin for a few years and it is finally getting close to completion. This is not a "How to build a log cabin" video. Its just me trying to fulfill my childhood dream of building a log cabin. I am not a carpenter, I am just doing the best I can with what I have. A log cabin is a dwelling constructed of logs, especially a less finished or architecturally sophisticated structure. Log cabins have an ancient history in Europe, and in America are often associated with first generation home building by settlers.
