POV: You're a 22 yr/o International Model in his 1st week after uni | The Science of Living EP 09
Picture it: Its 2020 I had just finished school early due to covid and we had entered lockdown, and randomly out of no where I get a DM from a modelling agency. You think it's a scam but you reply, and you never look back. That one message changed the trajectory of the next 4.5 years of my life. But not in the way you might expect. After 1 year I was let go, after starting university. I thought that was it. But out of no where during my 3rd year I received another DM the opportunity to sign in Germany and then finally in London. And after finishing university this is officially my first week back as a fully fledged internationally signed model. Germany and the UK.
In this week I run through what a casting is, what happens on shoot day, what it like to shoot for the Daniel Simmons and for Daniel Simmons co what to expect as a model during a test shoot. Pros and cons of being a model, tips and tricks of modelling. But also how modelling isn't everything, the pitfalls of being a model and the mental health battles you face. But also that in reality if you want anything bad enough you can have it. I am no Chico Lachowski nor am I Jordan Barrett but I love it and will try to do it for as long as I possibly can. In reality you just have to grab every opportunity presented in front of you with both hands and never look back.
