The once powerful Vice Media Group is officially bankrupt. Valued at close to 6 billion dollars in 2017, the company just filed for bankruptcy ahead of a possible sale for a measly 225 million dollars. The digital media company is best known for its websites Vice and Motherboard. Vice plans to continue to work through its bankruptcy and hopes to emerge from it in 2 to 3 months, as a much healthier company.
New York is becoming America’s biggest city to ban discrimination based on weight! Under a bill approved by New York City Council, weight will join a list of protected characteristics that includes gender, race, age, and religion! The law, which will apply primarily to employers and businesses, will also ban discrimination based on height… though there WILL be exemptions for jobs with physical requirements, such as ‘firefighter.’

That’s roughly two-point-seven million more than last year. The skies are going to be crowded as well. With 3 point 5 million Americans expected to fly, that's an increase of eleven percent relative to last year. It’s also over five percent more than in pre-pandemic 2019.
