American Airlines has been hit with a four-point-one million dollar fine for keeping passengers trapped on planes during lengthy delays! And according to the Department of Transportation, this is the largest fine of this type against an airline, EVER! It’s the result of forty-three specific flights in which nearly six thousand passengers were denied the chance to deplane, despite delays of at least THREE HOURS!
America’s likely presidential candidates are carrying some heavy baggage. A recent poll asked respondents an open-ended question about what they think of when they think of Biden and Trump. For the President, the most common responses used words like “old” or “outdated”, while the Republican front-runner was most likely to be described as “corrupt” and “crooked.” Hard to know which is worse… but it’s worth noting that despite only a three-year age difference, three-quarters think Biden is too old for a second term, while only half say that about Trump!
Of course, perceptions of Trump could evolve, thanks to his very busy spring in court! The judge overseeing Trump’s FEDERAL election interference trial just set a start date of March 4th. That’s a big victory for prosecutors, as Trump’s legal team was asking for the trial to begin in April of 2026! Meanwhile, the hush money and falsified business records case against Trump in New York is expected to proceed in LATE March, and the mishandling of classified documents trial is scheduled for May 20th.
As for the GEORGIA election interference trial, that SHOULD come later for Trump… but because it’s a racketeering indictment, and some of his co-defendants are requesting speedy trials, proceedings AFFECTING Trump could begin as soon as this October.
