We’ve all seen brown eyes, blue eyes and green eyes but what about all the other colors?
Melanin is the pigment that gives our color to our eyes, hair and skin. How come our eyes can come in blue and green whereas skin and hair cannot? It's all because of something called structural color - how light is scattered by the unique structure of the iris. In fact, blue eyes occur due to the same phenomenon causing the sky to appear blue. In this video, I also explore this but also how eye color subtly changes with emotions, how people have two different colored eyes and other rare eye colors like red or grey!
