Shannon Wong, MD answers the question, "How much does elective eye surgery cost?"
It depends on what we find during your exam and how you want your vision corrected……but let me give you a general idea of what we charge in 2024 for 5 commonly performed procedures that we offer to help people see better without glasses or contact lenses:
1 Premium lens replacement surgery or Premium cataract surgery
2 Basic cataract surgery (if you have medical insurance that we accept)
a. Elective basic cataract surgery
3 Intraocular lens exchange where we remove your lens implant and replace it with another premium lens implant
4 Intraocular lens exchange where we remove your existing lens implant and replace it with a basic monofocal lens implant
5 LASIK surgery
During your eye exam in our office we will be able to give you a very specific quote on what your out-of-pocket costs will be for surgery and if your insurance can help cover some of the costs of your surgery.
