Watch the long video:    • 17 Pieces of C# Syntax That Make Your...

The piece of C# syntax you don't need anymore is a struct.
Record structs have everything the old structs have, with some ten times faster equality members.
Consider retiring the old struct syntax in C#.
Number two is strange. You don't have to specify a body for a class anymore.
But how useful is this? An empty marker interface or an empty abstract record makes sense.
But an empty class? I don't see a use for this.
And the most unneeded piece of syntax is about null checking.
The is operator can check for null or test properties.
However, an empty property pattern still checks for null, though in the most delusional way.
This syntax is crazy! I never expect to see it in any code base.
Come to my channel, watch the long video, and learn other, more useful pieces of modern C# syntax.

👨 About Me 👨
Hi, I’m Zoran, I have more than 20 years of experience as a software developer, architect, team lead, and more. I have been programming in C# since its inception in the early 2000s. Since 2017 I have started publishing professional video courses at Pluralsight and Udemy and by this point, there are over 100 hours of the highest-quality videos you can watch on those platforms. On my YouTube channel, you can find shorter video forms focused on clarifying practical issues in coding, design, and architecture of .NET applications.❤️
