Trauma can travel 7 generations with us, 7 generations, that is a lot. this means the trauma of your parents 2, your grand parents 4, your grand grand parents 8, their parents 16, their parents 32 and their parents 64 and their parents 128. Together makes this Trauma of 254 ancestors. And then also yours. Makes trauma of 255 people.
Assuming that our ancestors didn’t have the psychological help we have nowadays, we probably are wearing the luggage, the shit of 255 people with us today. That is heavy shit. Imagine all the wars, the hunger, the oppression of women in that time, probably one of your 127 female ancestors has been a victim of sexual abuse. That chance is extremely high. And we might carry all this shit with us. That is something. Respect to you, carrying all that luggage.
But, there is a positive thing, and that is that we are the generation that can make the change.
At this moment in time, there are so many tools available. Psychiatrists, Regression therapy, plant medicines, hypnosis, family constellations, etc. Etc. to look at these traumas and maybe even solve it. And by doing this work, we are helping our ancestors and this makes not only our luggage lighter, but also the luggage for our children. We can clean the shit for the generations to come. Isn’t that fantastic?
And I believe that this is the work we have to do on earth, in this life. to look at the luggage we carry and try to make it lighter before we die. And if we can do this, it might take generation and a few reincarnation rounds, but at some point we might only walk around with a small backpack of shit, instead of a big container ship, that we try to carry around all the time.
Is this for everyone? No I don’t think so. Because you have to be incredibly brave to walk this path. The ones doing this, are the real heros of our times. Because it is fucking hard to know your grandmother was raped by her father, which is your grand grand father… it is fucking hard to know one of your ancestors killed innocent children in WWi or Ww2. We don’t want to know, because it is incredibly painful. So the ones that are courages enough to look at these traumas, are for me, the heroes of these times.
So my new song is about Our Luggage, of generations before. I literally burned my luggage in the videoclip,
