Why are more young girls coming out as bisexual as compared to boys? Is bisexuality more common amongst females and individuals identifying as women? Statistics show that more young people in the U.S. are self-identifying as LGBTQ now more than ever before. When it comes bisexuality, there has not always been a supportive community for bisexuals. Many bisexual adults shared that they experienced discrimination from heterosexual and gay/lesbian communities and this contributed to the bi-invisibility from the LGBTQ movement in the past. More young people in Generation Z acknowledge and accept the gender spectrum as well as the sexual orientation spectrum and accept bisexuality and pansexuality as a stand-alone sexual orientation. As parents, how do we support our child if they come out as bisexual? This video aims to help parents who may be struggling with their child coming out as bisexual. A few considerations for parents to ponder and strategies on how to move forward in learning about bisexuality as well as learning from your child on how they came to acknowledge their sexual orientation.

Having the Sex Talk with your Child can feel overwhelming. But I'm here to help and It's Time for the Sex Talk for Parents is designed to make having conversations with your child about sex and answer their sex questions easier. If you have a question or want to reach out to me - feel free - I'm on IG, FB, & TT.

'It's Time for the Sex Talk for Parents' is a channel designed to provide parenting tips and parenting advice on how to talk about sex, sexual health, and sexuality with their child. Many parents feel unprepared to have talks about sex with their child and I, Kathleen Hema, am here to help parents build their confidence in being able to talk about sex with their child. I want parents to know that they can provide medically-accurate and age-appropriate sex education to their child AND include their family values. Family values are an integral part to the sex talk and sex talks with your child but it is key to first explain the medically-accurate sex and sexual health information in an age-appropriate way. Then you can add in your family values. In my videos, I give examples of how to do this.
