The 2009-2012 Mac Pro are incredible machines. The upgradability and performance were quite good at the time, and they still hold up really well today with a few simple upgrades. In this video I take a 2009 4,1 Mac Pro, upgrade the firmware to 5,1 and install a new gpu, cpu and 32gb of memory.
Please note that not every RX 480 card will work. Use a Sapphire, MSI or single fan Powercolor for the greatest compatibility.
