Vinesh Phogat beats Olympic and world champion and then beats Ukrainian wrestler to enter semis
In a stunning upset at Paris, Vinesh Phogat beat No. 1 seed, Japan's Yui Susaki, in the round of 16 of the women's 50kg freestyle wrestling event.
Susaki, the defending Olympic champion (who did not concede a point in Tokyo), led the match after the first period, but Vinesh bounced back to win 3-2. Susaki is also a five-time world champion and the reigning world champion. She has only ever lost three bouts, all to compatriot Yuki Irie.
Vinesh is the first non-Japanese wrestler to beat Susaki
