The Congress and the National Conference have reached a seat-sharing agreement for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. As per the deal, the NC will contest on 51 seats and the Congress 32. One seat each has been allotted for the CPI(M) and the Panthers Party. The remaining five seats will see a "friendly" fight between the NC and the Congress.
