A two-year-old child in Meghalaya testing positive for the polio virus has triggered debate about an oral vaccine versus an injectable one. While the OPV contains a weakened form of the virus and is highly effective in stopping the spread of polio, the IPV does not contain the virus, but also does not help prevent the transmission of the disease
