This short video shows how to test film developer to know if the chemistry is good and suitable for use. This process tests how long an exposed strip of film takes to turn black when the film chemistry is first mixed and then uses that time as a reference to test aging chemistry against. If the time needed to turn film black increases notably, the chemistry is begnining to weaken and should either be pitched or the developing times compensated.
