Groundtracks Introduction | Orbital Mechanics with Python 30
In this video I go over what groundtracks are and why they are useful in orbital mechanics. I explain some of the differences between the Earth Centered Inertial frame (ECI) and Earth Centered Earth Fixed frame (ECEF). I demonstrate the differences using rotating 3D visualizations, as well as 2D groundtracks plots of latitude and longitude.
Future videos will go over how to create these groundtracks plots with Python.
