Waiting until your kid is 11 or 12 years old to start explaining what is sex and having the sex talks is TOO LATE. Most of the folks that I speak with say that they heard the word sex and learned what it was before they were 10 years old. However, many parents 'feel' that explaining what is sex to their kid before they are 10 years old is just too early. In this video, I share a story about how one parent started the sex talks with her kid and how it developed over the years as well as provide a mini checklist on the sex talks to have before you explain what is sex to your kid as well as the sex talks that you need to be having after you explain what is sex. Let me know in the comments, what age did you learn what is sex?

'It's Time for the Sex Talk for Parents' is a channel designed for modern day parents who know that the sex talks aren't a one-time talk but continuous conversation starting in the toddler years. If you feel unprepared to have talks about sex with your child - subscribe and follow along as I bring you weekly videos designed to help you build your confidence in having the sex talks.

Your religious, cultural, and family values are an important aspect to the sex talks and I want you to include them in your talks with your child after providing medically-accurate and age-appropriate sex education first. Family values are an integral part to the sex talks with your child after you first explain the medically-accurate sexual health information in an age-appropriate way. Then, absolutely, you can include your family values.

What you will find in my videos:
🎓Peer-reviewed research & statistics that support the sex talks
🌱Examples of how I've answered a sex question with my own kids
📒Scripts that can give you the words to say in order to start the conversation and keep it going
🙌Support & Encouragement
🍀Acknowledgement that the sex talks can be very difficult and may feel uncomfortable for some parents
⚓️ Advice on how & when to include your religious, cultural, or personal beliefs into the sex talks.
🎬Short videos - because we are all busy parents!
