Hyundai Santa Fe is going to launch in India in Mar 2020 with an estimated price of Rs. 27.00 lakh.

The 2020 Santa Fe is offered with a choice of three different engines. Out of these, two are petrol motors while one is a diesel. The petrol engines are the 2.4-litre GDI and the 2.0-litre turbocharged unit. The former produces 185 BHP, the latter is good for 232 BHP. The diesel engine is the new 2.2-litre unit. It is capable of churning out 200 BHP. An 8-speed transmission will come as standard for all the engines. Hyundai is claiming that this gearbox is lighter and more efficient than the 6-speed unit that it replaces. The Santa Fe also comes with Hyundai’s HTRAC ALL-Wheel Drive unit which offers a multi-mode driving system (Normal, Sport and Smart).

Though the engine specifications of the India bound version of this SUV are not confirmed, we can still speculate on the mileage that the said engines will deliver. For the petrol powered derivatives, the Santa Fe is expected to deliver a mileage of 12 to 13 km/l. While for the diesel derivatives, this could stand at about 14 to 16 km/l. This premium SUV, in the international markets, comes with a petrol hybrid powertrain as well. This version is said to give a mileage of close to 24 km/l.

Santa Fe gets a host of onboard features. The SUV comes with LED daytime running lights, twin LED headlights, diamond cut alloy wheels along with LED taillights. The cabin features a touchscreen infotainment system which gets Hyundai AVN 5.0 Navigation System. Also on offer is a Qi charging pad for compatible Android and Apple smartphones. For the driver, the Santa Fe gets a head-up-display.

In terms of safety, the new Hyundai Santa Fe comes with forwarding collision avoidance assist, blind spot collision warning, safe exit assist, lane keeping assist, driver attention warning, rear view monitor with parking guidance, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist among the others.
