Brewster, NY is one of only 8 similar Magic Dock sites in New York and 2 in California installed in late February 2023. You are witnessing history being made here, as Tesla observes what happens at these first charging sessions by a variety of EV owners.

This site first opened on the evening of February 28 2023, and I I visited this special Brewster NY Supercharger location on its 2nd day of operation on March 2nd • First Magic Dock Tests – Charging an ... , and it's 4th full day of operation on Saturday March 4th, as seen in this video. While there, grabbed some footage of EV owners attempting their very first charges, who were kind enough to allow me to follow along, using a mic where I was able. I met the owners of a Rivian R1T, a VW ID.4, the same Hyundai IONIQ 5 I had seen 2 days earlier, and a Ford F-150 Lightning that may have been the first to have an easy time chaging here since the Non-Tesla Charging instructions with QR codes mounted on 8 bollards had apparently been removed since March 2nd.
My intent here is merely to show what happened, subsequently, tweets like this surfaced

which I'm quite certain will be worked out soon enough, on such relatively rural locations that are less likely to leave travelers remotely upset or stranded.
