How to change your baby's clothes
=========================

Once you have topped and tailed then you can change the baby's clothes. Bayboros that fasten down the front are the easiest as are vests with short sleeves.

Let's start with baby's vest. Scrunch up the body of the vest with your hands inside the neck widen the opening. Place the front under your baby's neck and firmly sweep over the face, sliding beneath the back of the baby's head.

Reach through the sleeve and gently pull the baby's hand through and repeat on the other side. Now lift baby's feet and gently pull the back of the vest down the baby's back and pull the front down and fasten underneath.

Lift the baby and place the clean babygro, open, beneath the baby. As you did with the vest reach through the scrunched up sleeve and gently grasp a hand and then slide the sleeve down the arm. And repeat on the other side.

Take hold of a foot and gently slide it down into the leg of the babygro and repeat on the opposite side. I find it easier to fasten the babygro from the top, down to the nappy area, before fastening each leg.

This is a lovely opportunity to chat to your baby, sing songs and have a play. And when your confident with handling and changing your baby, why not try tummy time so baby can strengthen those neck muscles and lift the head.
