This guide is not intended to replace the handbook. Rather, I intend this guide to supplement the wiki to help new users get a fully working system on their first try.
EDIT: if you're using an nvme drive as your boot partition you're going to have to add an additional option in your kernel as seen here: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/NVMe#Kernel
