2024 소리축제 ‘판소리 다섯바탕’ 올해의 국창에는 탁월한 소리로 청중을 사로잡는 김영자 명창이 무대에 올랐다. 김영자 명창은 탁하지만 고운 성음이라 불리는 수리성의 목구성과 무대를 장악하는 폭발적인 성량을 가지고 있다. 더불어 오랜 창극 활동으로 다져진 연기력까지 갖추고 있어 온전히 청중을 휘어잡는 이 시대 최고의 명창으로 꼽힌다.

2024 Sori Festival’s “Five Pansori Stories” section featured Master Kim Yeongja who has captivated audiences with her exceptional performance. Master Kim Yeongja has her own suriseong voice, which is said to be thick but fine, and her explosive voice, which dominates the whole stage. In addition, her acting skills developed through her changgeuk (pansori-based modern theatre) experience make her one of the best masters who completely captivates the audience.
