Want to learn how to start faster?
Here’s the next video in a series of videos about how to do starts when we are doing sprint training. This video is about a crouch start, following the previous video about how to do a standing start.
The key points about this video to take away are the positioning of the feet – the front foot is 1 and a half steps back from the line.
Our back foot is usually our kicking foot as we can get more power out of this position.
Place your arms on the line so they are directly below your shoulders in the “Set” position.
Keep your back and neck straight, or ‘neutral’.
Get Faster, Faster.
There’s many more videos to come about starts, the drive phase and transitioning.
We hope you enjoyed this video – don’t forget to subscribe!
This video may be of use to those learning about track starts for GCSE PE
