Welcome to "The School of Breath" where we bring awareness on our breath.
On this Channel "The School of Breath"
we will explore the ancient secrets of our Breath. We will explore 4 different Levels of Consciousness as we together journey into discovering our Divine nature. On this journey of Awareness the first level is Mindfulness.
1. Mindfulness
Mindfulness is a state where you are fully engaged with the task in front of you. An example would be eating, If you are eating you are present with the simple act of eating. Here you are primarily engaging 4 of your senses i.e. the sense of Sight, Taste, Smell and sense of Touch (Cold/Hot food etc.) More senses you engage in the task, the better the quality of your presence becomes. This is why in India there is a tradition of eating with hands so you can engage with the food before it is consumed. In other words Mindfulness is a state of being aware of this reality through engaging 3 or more senses. At this level your awareness is not very subtle as you are only working with the gross activities of Eating, Walking, Driving, Working-out etc. While maintaining the Mindfulness one can start working with the more subtle aspects of ones being such as Breath. In the second state of the Journey we explore Breath awareness.
2. Breath awareness
In this state of awareness one becomes aware of ones breathing as Inhales and Exhales. This is where one withdraws ones attention away from the outside tasks and instead brings the gift of ones attention to their own breath for extended periods of time during meditations. At this level one starts to understand the deeper secrets of breath and its relation to ones own wellbeing. However at this level breath is known through the touch and passage of Inhales and Exhales as the air touches the nostrils, lungs and belly etc. Within this level one also develops the awareness over the left and right nostrils creating harmony between ones Masculine and Feminine nature. This mastery over the nostrils is going to be part of our Swara Yoga (Click on this link to know more about Swara Yoga). Only after practicing breath awareness for extended periods of times one develops this subtle ability to know the breath not just as Inhales and Exhales but at a deeper level of Prana (the energetic part of the breath).
3. Pure Awareness
In this heightened sense of awareness ones attention becomes so subtle that one can dissect through the illusion of physical body and perceive this world not merely through thoughts but with Energy, Frequency and Vibration. This is where the practitioner discovers the 5 elements awareness (Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space) within ones own breath and how to master the different elements for specific tasks. One also engages with the mantra for each element and starts working with both the deeper secrets of breath and the 5 elements and their connection to Longevity and other Yogic powers such as CLAIRVOYANCE, Exceptional ability to balance mind and body, TELEPATHY, Extreme power of making ones spoken words come true, and many more.
Then we move to the 4th state which is “Being “
4. Being
In this state the attention of the Yogi shifts from doing to allowing and surrendering. This is the true state of freedom for a yogi where one becomes the master of oneself. In this state of mind you suspend the judgement of the mind and one stays detached from what happens. Here one acquires a unique ability to take on perspectives and live every moment consciously. Welcome to the School of Breath where we learn to “Create the Life by Design”
