This song is the first step in the 5 stages of grief; denial. After the most traumatic night of my life, BabyAK and I got together (being the good friend he is) because he knew I had some things I really needed to get off my chest. Little did I know that this would be the beginning of a 5 song project where I accidentally show myself going through denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. I talk a lot of trash in “low;”, saying things like “I start to realize all the love I felt was lies. What’s the point of even crying?” in an attempt to convince myself that the situation didn’t affect me as deeply as it did. I wasn’t being honest with myself yet.
Glooms -
Glooms is an LA based artist, who grew up in the Minneapolis music scene. After dropping out of college and moving to LA after a major medical event, he started crafting his own style of dark, alternative pop. He took quarantine as an opportunity to focus on writing, working and making songs for various other artists, before teaming up with former highschool bandmate BabyAK to craft his next project.
