Searches 1981-2023 -- 2024 Update
In 2022, I first created this project to consolidate all the research data relating to searches and discoveries made regarding the story of George Mallory and Andrew Irvine's disappearance on Mount Everest on June 8, 1924. The project naturally grew to include additional data on all the pre-World War II expeditions, then the pre-modern era expeditions, and then morphed again to include historic routes on the North (Tibetan) Side of the mountain. This past week, I updated the project again to streamline the user interface, make the data consistent across all three views of the North Face, and include some bits of new information, namely about the 1981 French Military Expedition.
