I've decided to share some of the artifacts I have here in my office, items I've found over the years on the slopes of Mount Everest. But, being a bit of a history nerd myself, it's not just the object, but the story behind it.
So, with this first artifact, we'll go back to the early days on Everest, to 1922 - the second ever Everest expedition - and look at an old battery I found in 2001 at the site of the 1922 Camp III (Advanced Basecamp). A simple item with a big backstory.
