Learn how to create and track a link in Instapage in this 1 minute tutorial. It’s quick, easy, and will help you develop the navigation you want and decide which actions you want to be tracked.

How to create and track a link in Instapage.

To create a link, highlight the text, button, or image you’d like to link from. For this example, I’ll select the text.

Once selected, click “edit”. Notice that the “link button” is not available. This is because you need to first highlight the text you want to use as a link.

From here, you can choose a variety of link options: an outside URL, landing page, POP up, on-page link, or even file download.

Selecting each will provide you with a number of options unique to that selection.

For example, clicking on POP UP will open up a new pop-up window that you can edit and add content to. Or, by selecting landing page, you can choose which page, and if this action should be opened in a new tab and/or tracked. It’s that simple.
Once finished, click “done”. Make sure to save your page, and the link is now ready to be tested.

To track links, click on settings and select conversion goals. Make sure the “links on page” option is selected, as are the links you want to track. Click Done, and that’s all there is to it.
