UMiDIGI A7S - medical smartphone?
The Chinese company Umidigi is coming up with new ways to distinguish its inexpensive phones against the background of numerous opponents. Stylish design, decent autonomy, lots of cameras - how else to surprise a whimsical user? The hero of today's review offers the buyer a full-fledged laser thermometer for measuring the temperature of surrounding objects. But will the novelty be interesting in its other parameters?
The exterior of the device is beautiful for a low price point. The frames of the 6.53-inch screen are small, the colors of the back panel made of fairly high-quality plastic do not cause any complaints, as well as the design of the triple photo module, in which the sensor-thermometer is located. A fingerprint scanner has also found a place here, and face recognition will be unlocked thanks to the 8-megapixel front module. The OGS panel itself was endowed with good brightness and contrast, but not without savings. So, the resolution is only 1600 x 720 pixels, which does not allow achieving the highest picture clarity. But the performance benefits from such a solution.
Technical characteristics in the form of a Mediatek MT6737 processor, 2GB of RAM and a PowerVR GE8100 video chip would hardly cope with the resource-intensive Android Q interface without the used IPS-screen. However, the bundle still lacks power to successfully launch demanding games. Only a part of modern projects will run on minimal graphics settings. 32GB of internal storage is allocated, a microSD card slot saves from potential memory shortages.
The main 13-, 8- and 2-megapixel sensors will not make the dreams of a sophisticated mobile photographer come true, but they will not fail when capturing a text document or taking a daytime shot. The battery with a capacity of 4150mAh does not upset either. You will have to charge such a battery only once every couple of days with 8-9 hours of active screen time. As a result, the considered device does not revolutionize the market, but it has a number of attractive features, for which they will love it.
