If you no longer have the source document (e.g. Word .docx), you will have to tag the title directly in the PDF. In this tutorial you will learn how to tag the title using Adobe Acrobat. We will not only look at how to tag the title according to PDF/UA-1 (ISO14289-1), but also how to prepare it for PDF/UA-2.
Of course, I have to mention here that the two standards PDF/UA-1 and PDF/UA-2 are based on different PDF standards. It is therefore not yet certain how easily an "old PDF" (according to PDF 1.7) can be converted into a "new PDF" (according to PDF 2.0) in the future.

By the way, if you still have the source document, you should of course convert the title directly in the source document in the best possible way. Because if you create a new version of your document in the future, you will have to do all the rework in Acrobat again.
