So far in this video series we have learned that according to Scripture alone, there is only one single "Person" of God, the Father, and His name is Yahweh. By "Person" I am referring to a conscious rational being. God is one singular divine Person. He is an invisible omnipresent Spirit and there is only one Spirit. God is not made up of multiple conscious rational beings as some teach today. The previous video of this series examined 1 Timothy 3:16 and 2 Corinthians 5:19 to establish the deity of Christ. Jesus Christ is the one true God manifest in the flesh. God the Father was manifest in the flesh, not an eternal second Person of a three Person God. We can confirm this important truth by turning to John 3:1-5 which reveals how the Father was manifest to take away our sins and in Him is no sin. Jesus Christ is the singular Person of God (who's name is Yahweh) incarnate as our Saviour. By incarnate, I am referring to God manifesting in the flesh with bodily form and human nature. So laying aside tradition and instead looking to Scripture alone, the one singular Person of God (the Father) manifested Himself in the flesh and since His incarnation in the flesh, the one Person of God now experiences existence in two ways simultaneously: as the omnipresent invisible God outside of or transcendent to the incarnation and as a genuine man through the incarnation. Not two Persons, but two different manners of existence.

So just because there are distinctions between Father and Son does not mean there is not only one singular Person of God. We need to understand that Yahweh's very Being (His Person) was made visible in the flesh as the man Christ Jesus. Colossians 1:15 reveals that Jesus Christ is the visible representation (image) of the invisible God to mankind. We must rely on Scripture alone to explain why there are distinctions between Father and Son without compromising the singularity of God's Person.

We must see Jesus as our God (Father) and Saviour with regards to His deity (His Person) or else we haven't truly come to know Him yet. By turning to Isaiah 9:6 we read a prophecy regarding Jesus Christ and how the child that was to be born would be called The Mighty God and the Everlasting Father. It doesn't say Jesus would be called the everlasting Son. It emphasizes Jesus as our Father. This is establishing the deity of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is God the Father's very Person incarnate. We have already learned in this series that there is no Saviour beside Yahweh from the Old Testament and how it stressed that He alone was the only Saviour. We can then turn to Romans 8:9-10 to learn that the Spirit of Christ is the Spirit of God (Holy Spirit). When we understand that God was in Christ the way that our spirit tabernacles in our body making us who we are, we can begin to understand and see how Jesus Christ is God incarnate. Taking all of what we have learned in this series so far and keeping in mind what we learn about Jesus being called the Everlasting Father in Isaiah 9:6, we can then turn to John 14 to receive a powerful revelation regarding Jesus Christ being God the Father incarnate. John 14: 7-10 establishes the deity of Jesus Christ where the words of Jesus help Phillip to see the Father when He sees Jesus. This is because Jesus is God the Father incarnate. We can then turn to John 14:16-18 and learn a powerful truth regarding the Holy Spirit. Jesus talks about "another Comforter" whom He called the Spirit of truth. This is referring to the Holy Spirit. There is only one Spirit and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God the Father. Jesus was dwelling with the disciples at the time He spoke those words but He also said that the Spirit of truth (another Comforter) would be in them. Jesus was going to be crucified and then resurrect from the dead and ascend into heaven. He wasn't going to be walking with them in bodily form any longer after His ascension to sit on the throne. The Holy Spirit that was poured out on the day of Pentecost is what Jesus was referring to regarding the Spirit of truth. But notice how Jesus ends by saying "I will not leave you comfortless, I will come to you." This statement is so often missed and overlooked. In John 14:18, Jesus is saying that when the Holy Spirit would be poured out that it would be Him coming to them. When you look up the Greek word for "comfortless" in the KJV, one can see that it is the Greek word "orphanos" and it means parentless or fatherless. Jesus was telling them that He would not leave them fatherless but that He would come to them! The Holy Spirit would be Jesus coming to them as their Father. Jesus Christ most certainly is God the Father incarnate!
