In this video we will examine Romans 1:21-28 in light of Ephesians 4:17-24 to learn how anyone from the category of people that the apostle Paul is describing in Romans 1:21-28 can be saved from bondage to sin and be freed from their reprobate mind. It all takes place through the power of the gospel! By comparing the details of Ephesians 4:17-19 with Romans 1:21-28, we can see how Paul is referring to the same group of people (Gentiles) who had become vain in their imaginations and in Ephesians 4:17 he is telling born again believers to no longer live like other Gentiles in the vanity of their mind. This means that they were one time living like other Gentiles in the vanity of their mind. They were, therefore, at one time in the category of people that Romans 1 is referring to, but they obeyed the gospel in faith and were born again. Their old man with it's lusts was put off and they put on the new man, Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:1-10 then confirms how they were one time darkness, but now they are light in the Lord and they were to now walk as children of light and no longer walk as children of disobedience that they were saved from. This should give everyone hope who has believed a lie regarding Romans 1, wrongfully believing that it refers to people who cannot be saved. The Word of God is clear that anyone who is in that category can be born again and be renewed in the spirit of their mind through the power of the gospel and by responding to the gospel in faith.
