Yes indeed, it's that time again to explore the wonderful, horrible, downright flabbergasting world of bloodletting, where sensible actions are punished and senseless bloodshed is literally the name of the game. We'll explore when barbers were surgeons, when giving birth was a death sentence, and the people who tried to do right by science but were shunned by their professional peers for trying to make changes to their fields, regardless of how many lives those discoveries might have changed.
