DART Interplanetary Trajectory in Inertial and Sun-Earth Rotating Frames
DART's interplanetary cruise phase in the EME2000 (inertial) reference frame and the Sun-Earth rotating reference frame. This frame is defined as:
X: From Sun to Earth
Z: Angular momentum vector of Earth's orbit (position cross velocity)
Y: Completes the right-handed system (Y = Z cross X)
The trajectory data comes from NASA's Horizons system and the animation / visualization was made using NASA's SPICE-Enhanced Cosmographia.
