Wildlife biologist Jim Coffey demonstrates how to provide the turkey leg sample looking for the presence of a new turkey disease LPDV. Remove the leg, wrap it with a paper towel, place it in a zip lock bag and then in the freezer. Hunters must then contact the DNR (link to contact page?) who will mail a packet to the hunter. The hunter will answer a few questions, place the sample and questionnaire in a postage paid envelope and dropping it in the mail.
