/ theguysmanual   Grape-Nuts and ESPN's Kenny Mayne team up to help you turn a day of back to school clothing shopping with your daughter into a classic father-daughter bonding experience in this episode of the Guy's Manual.

HOST KENNY MAYNE
Let's be honest, when your kids hit a certain age, they...basically hate you. So when one of your kids asks if you can do something together, you jump at the chance. Like Robert here.

ANNOUNCER
It's time for Game Seven! The next three hours promise to be the most exciting in the history of sport.

TIFFANY
Dad, Mom is at her yoga class, will you take me clothes shopping?

HOST KENNY MAYNE
I said you JUMP AT THE CHANCE. I'm going to help Robert with some nuggets of wisdom here. First tip, set some ground rules.

ROBERT
One. No swim wear. Two, no questionable slogans on the front or back of clothing.

HOST KENNY MAYNE
And three, time is money. You need to lay out a budget. It's up to her whether she wants to buy one shoe or a whole back to school outfit. Her call.

TIFFANY
Fine, but just so you know, two hundred dollars is not that much for shoes.

HOST KENNY MAYNE
Two hundred dollars is not that much...for a kidney. Now, once you're out there, in the shopping trenches, you're going to want to pick your battles. Nice work, Robert. Because now you've earned the right to do this.
Tiffany re-emerges wearing clear plastic high heeled stripper
shoes.

TIFFANY
Can I get these?

ROBERT
I'm not that kind of ""daddy.""

HOST KENNY MAYNE
A key thing to remember while taking your teenage daughter shopping is: give her some space. You don't want to be this dad:

LISA
OMG Tiffany! I didn't know you were coming here today!

ROBERT
Yo Lisa, what up? You hear the new Jo Bros album? Dudes are kickin 'it! Dope?

HOST KENNY MAYNE
Dope? Seriously? Why not just say they're keen, Grandpa? Stay within yourself, Robert. Now, it's time for the last tip.

ROBERT
Honey, you look beautiful -- just like your mother.

LIZA
How'd it go?

TIFFANY
Good. Dad says I look beautiful, just like you.

ROBERT
These are for you.

HOST KENNY MAYNE
Well played, my friend. Until next time, enjoy being a man who gets things done.
