Today’s yoga practice is a yin yoga sequence to wind down and ease any tension held in the body from the day. This 30 min yin yoga practise does not require any equipment or yoga props…. You can even do in your pjs on the carpet if it’s comfortable!
In this gentle and quiet yoga practise we stay close to the ground and hold poses for longer periods of time. I will be timing the poses to ensure we are equal on both sides.
As we move through this home yin yoga sequence we will get the spine moving into flexion and extension, through lateral stretches to the sides and into some gentle rotations to twist out any tension from the day.
For a comfortable home yin yoga practise, I would recommend wearing very comfortable and cosy clothes and even popping on some socks. You could even cover your mat with a blanket for a nice, soft texture to lay on. As we hold poses for longer in a yin yoga practise we can get cold a lot more easily than went we practise more dynamic forms of yoga.
