Hello, my name is Dimitri and I am an academic English editor at Uni-edit. I did my studies at McGill University, where I completed a B.S. in neuroscience. Right now, I'm currently doing a medical degree at McGill and working towards becoming a medical doctor.

As an English editor at Uni-edit, I help edit pieces of English writing to academic standards suitable for publication in academic journals. Furthermore, I've also conducted a lot of study in neuroscience at McGill. My study focused on autism spectrum disorder.

Currently, I am also a content developer for another company where I create medical content for a broader audience to read, so they can improve and live a healthier lifestyle. In the past, I've taught English to students in China that wanted to come and study abroad. I also prepared them for life in the west and helped them overcome some of the challenges they might face as they moved out of China.

I really enjoy my role as an English editor at Uni-edit for several reasons. First of all, I get to read a lot of very fascinating research from around the world. Also, as someone who has worked in research before, I know how important but difficult publishing can be. This is why I am very happy to help other people publish in any way I can, which includes editing their papers.

Furthermore, as a student with a very busy schedule, I feel like this position is perfect for me. This is because I get to edit papers on my own time and I personally see it as just kind of like taking a break from studying. In my free time, I really enjoy cooking, taking photos (I'm a photographer), and reading. I like to read all different types of books from non-fiction to fiction books and I like to read on a variety of different topics.
