There are, of course, the basics:
Don't create multiple accounts... which is against Upwork policy. Don't violate Upwork's terms of service. Don't submit plagiarized work. Don't engage in unethical behavior. Etc.
Also...
Don't ignore client communication. You WILL get bad reviews no matter how good the work you do is. Don't make false promises. Overpromising is rampant on Upwork. Don't engage in price undercutting. This devalues your services and is hard to come back from.
And some maybe lesser-known don'ts...
Don't be vague. Specificity is persuasive. Provide specifics in everything. Don't count on Upwork. It's a business. Treat it as such. Don't expect it to care about you. MAKE it work for you. Don't be lazy. Fill out your profile, put time into it, research, etc. Many won't. Be the one that does.
