Appimage Launcher and AppimagePool
In this video I will be exploring Appimage Launcher and AppimagePool, both different projects but compliment each other very nicely. AppimagePool although a place for exploring and installing AppImages there is some Appimages that are not found within the AppimagePool, having said that it's a great start to consolidate Appimages into on central location.
Appimage Launcher is a great application who's daemon runs in the background waiting for any type of Appimage to be launched so it can automatically resolve permissions and preset locations either default or set by the user and offer a Run Once or Integrate and Run scenario. Run Once will achieve just that, open the App once without adding it to the Menu or moving the Appimage to set location, which is very handy if you're just trying the App and find no interest in using it you can delete the file and there's no change to the system, Integrate and Run will add a desktop entry that shows up in the Menu and moves the Appimage file to a location set within the preferences of the Appimage Launcher settings.
