Arknights Guide to Speedrunning Integrated Strategies
I've had a lot of people ask about speedrunning lately because of the Lungmen Dragons qualifiers. I've been speedrunning Arknights since IS2 launched. I held all 3 world records for IS2 simultaneously for a while. My HM record stood for about 8 months and only got beat out with new operators that were released recently (like Mlynar) as well as lower load times / EOT skips.
I've been watching and helping people with IS3 speedruns for the qualifiers since I cannot join myself. At the same time I did some of my own runs for Speedrun.com and will continue to do more later.
In this video I try and address some of the biggest mistakes I see people making. Emulator usage, map picks, recruitment picks, etc.
Let me know if I missed anything and I can always address it in a comment or follow-up.
In the end, the fastest speedruns will be determined partially by RNG (who can get EOT with the best combat nodes and the right ops to take advantage) as well as skill (being able to pivot strategies for each map in the run depending on the vouchers presented).
