In this video, I walk you through the full process of downloading VMware ESXi 8.0 Update 3e (build 24674464), the latest version of VMware’s hypervisor — now distributed by Broadcom.
Since Broadcom’s acquisition of VMware, the website layout and licensing system have changed, and getting your hands on the free ESXi ISO isn't as straightforward as it used to be. But don’t worry — I’ll show you exactly what to do.

✔️ 64-bit x86 processor with LAHF/SAHF, NX/XD, and VT-x or AMD-V
✔️ CPU must be on VMware’s Hardware Compatibility List (HCL)
⚠️ Note: CPUs older than Intel Haswell (4th Gen) may be blocked — Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge are not supported in 8.0.3+
✔️ At least 4GB RAM (8GB+ recommended)
✔️ USB stick or SSD for installation
✔️ A second drive for VM storage (optional but ideal)
