A Look Back on PHP 5.5 Development in 2012
As one of many contributors to the PHP Project I wanted to dedicate this video as a tribute to PHP and it's 5.5 branch for the new year. A look back on PHP in 2012 shows us the extensive development undergone in PHP 5.5 and it's first two Alpha releases throughout most of 2012. PHP 5.5 gives us such new language features as generators, finally, list in foreach construct, and constructor dereferencing. It also introduces such new core extensions as password_hash and lots of improvements and bug fixes. Watch and enjoy as we look back on PHP development throughout 2012.
