Mapping Data to Multiple Targets
In this MapForce demo we learn how to define a data transformation project that converts data to multiple target data formats. We will explore using functions to transform values and group data before writing it to the target data structures.
In this demo we convert Excel (.xlsx) data to JSON and XML. The target data structures in this example are a JSON Schema and XML Schema (XSD), both of which were edited in Altova XMLSpy.
The value-map function is used to transform values in the source data to new values before they are written to the target. We also use the group-by function to group data by defined criteria before writing it to the target.
