Included in the hit game Civilization VI. Matthias accomplished many things in his life: an efficient statesman, master tactician, and above all a true renaissance king. From rags to riches he managed to elevate Hungary to a prestigious and notable European power. Always being mindful of the little guys, he would often dress in civilian clothing and in disguise he would find and correct any wrong or injustice he would come across. And the infamous Black Army which would be one of Europe's first attempts at a standing army since the collapse of the Roman Empire. With his love for knowledge and insatiable ambition, he made Hungary the first to experience the Renaissance outside of Italy. However all of his work would be swiftly undone via the sheer incompetence of his successors and the withering of war and time.
