Android TV - How to install and run Google Chrome?
The material was created on Android TV v.7 / TV SONY - If you are using the newer version of Android TV, a shortcut to Settings can be found at the top of the HOME screen. Before you start installing Google Chrome on Android TV, you should know:
► Google Chrome is not compatible with Android TV. Its remote control is impossible or limited, using the mouse is not comfortable and smooth, you can try to operate Google Chrome using the application on your phone / tablet, e.g. TV REMOTE.
► Google Chrome is an application installed from outside Android TV, it is not officially available on Google Play for Android TV. After installation, you will not see the application shortcut. You can use the TV App Repo application shown in the video (you also need to download and install it from the .apk file) or on Google Play TV look for applications such as: TV LAUNCHER. They will allow you to manage installed applications. You can also opt out of both solutions and go to TV settings ► select Applications ► Open.
► You can download .apk files from an APK MIRROR website, then put them on a USB Flash Drive and put them on your TV. How to download .APK applications you will learn from the article, the link to which will be at the end of the description.
► If you have no specific reasons to bother with Google Chrome support (maybe someday it will be compatible with Android TV again), I strongly recommend installing another browser from Google Play TV, e.g. very popular Puffin. Puffin allows you to log into your Google account and sync.
► Remember that the applications you see on Google Play TV are compatible with Android TV. Currently there are about 4000-5000, which is a much smaller number than Google Play actually has applications.

Installation of any application from outside Google Play TV is always the same:
► download the application onto a pendrive and place it in the TV USB port,
► you enable the permission to install applications from unknown sources,
► you are installing a file manager that reads .APK files,
► you install the application on the TV,
► you use TV APP REPO, TV LAUNCHER or Settings section to launch the application.
If an application does not work with the remote control, it may try to use it with the mouse, keyboard (USB / Bluetooth) or application from the phone / tablet.
